This day is devoted to being at a standstill.

Don’t know which way to go, where to go, how to go, when to go, do, be.

The roads criss-cross but the direction is unclear.

The path into the woods divides and which route is the best route?

From a shamanic perspective what is it to ‘standstill’?

Often times there are more questions then answers when one enters this realm.

And there is a good reason for that.

The answer is simple: standstill, wait.

In that waiting, that standing still one can only submit, surrender even sacrifice.

It passes. It truly does.

Following Standstill is the return to Life.

Winter Solistice takes three days.

Sun enters into that dark space and the Mother Earth spins.

On the third day Mother Earth spins through and out the other side to start the cycle again.

Those three days are standstill.

Wait.

Please bring some lunch and bring a drum or rattle and wear loose clothing for moving around and sitting on floor; no singing experience necessary.
